Drake Bay Costa Rica
The beautiful Drake Bay is located on the north side of the Osa Peninsula in the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. This area is well known worldwide for its incredible biodiversity. The extensive and dense tropical forests cover almost most of the peninsula. The beautiful Drake Bay is located in the northern part of the peninsula. It is considered the entry point to explore Corcovado National Park at least the northern side, or the entrance to San Pedrillo. From Drake Bay one can also easily explore Cano Island, a place that offers excellent diving and snorkeling. Other activities to do in Drake Bay are hiking to Rio Claro, canopy tours, horseback rides into the Peninsula and observation of flora and fauna in general. The small village located in Drake Bay, called Agujitas, offers a selection of many small hotels and cabins. The more luxurious hotels and lodges are located more to the south, distributed along the coast to Rio Claro.
